Review:   All Things Work Together For Your Good – Part 2

Romans 8:28 says, “that ALL things work together for good.”  Not just good things, ALL things.  This does not mean that everything that happens to you is God’s will.  For instance, God does not give you sicknesses or diseases in order to teach you a lesson.  It does mean that when the enemy throws you a curve, God will take every situation and use it for His marvelous plan for your life. Every trial is unpleasant when you are going through it, but you can be assured that God will ultimately use every situation to work out in your favor.

Apostle Paul writes in Romans 5:3-5, “ we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope.  Now hope does not disappoint.”  When we go through hardship, hope of receiving what God has promised grows stronger.  We can be confident that we will ultimately be victorious.  If we need healing, we can be assured that God will come through.  If we need a financial breakthrough, we can be sure that our God will provide.  Hope does not disappoint!

Paul goes on to say in 2 Corinthians 12:10, “Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.”  Paul is saying we can boast in every weakness because the power, favor and strength of God will be more than enough for every situation.  All of the promises of God are yes and amen in Christ Jesus.  It doesn’t matter what situation you are in, you can boast in Jesus.  When they enemy comes at you one way, he will have to flee and be scattered in seven ways.  Jesus will use every setback, loss and trial to work out for your good.  It is all part of His marvelous plan to set you up for the high calling you have in your life.  Praise God!
