Review: All Things Work Together For Your Good
Romans 8:28 says, “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” Ephesians 1:11-12 says nearly the same thing, “In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will, that we who first trusted in Christ should be to the praise of His glory.”
Believers have an amazing inheritance in Christ. God is able to make all things work together for our good. He knows the end from the beginning. He gives all of us freewill to make our own choices, but He knows what choices we are going to make. So God is always two steps ahead of the enemy. God can even use our mistakes to work out for our good.
Scripture says that ALL things work together for our good. Not just good things, ALL things. God works every situation out in our favor so that we should “be to the praise of His glory.” In other words, God uses every situation to work out for our good so that it results in a testimony glorifying God. When the enemy throws us a curve, God will straighten it out in the end so that it testifies of God’s goodness and love for us.
1 Thessalonians 5:18 says, “In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” We are to praise God not only in the good things, but also in every trial, setback, loss and adversity. We can do this when we know that God is in control. He will use even negative situations to work out for our good. God is not bringing trials and tribulations in our lives, but God allows us to go through trials because He can use adversity as a stepping-stone to prepare us for something even greater.
God is for us, so nothing can be against us. We have an assurance sworn in Jesus blood that God is working all things together for our good. God desires for you to rejoice in every trial you are going through right now. The enemy may have come at you with adversity, but God will use the situation to strengthen you. Every time you come through a trial, you are conformed more to the image of His Son! Rejoice! God is using every set back, loss, adversity and trial to prepare you for the high calling on your life!
Prayer: 10 Minutes:
If there is any situation in your life that needs prayer, ask the Holy Spirit to pray through you for that situation. The Holy Spirit makes intercession for us according to the will of God. It is the perfect prayer and is always answered!
