Review:  It Is Always God’s Will to Heal – Part 2

John G. Lake, who had one of the greatest healing ministries in the world, states, “The only hindrance to healing is that you believe there are hindrances to healing.”  Matthew 8:16-17 says, “They brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying:  “He Himself took our infirmities
And bore our sicknesses.” Jesus healed every person that came to Him.  You will never find one instance in the New Covenant of Jesus’ withholding healing because of sin, curses, or lack of faith.

All of our sins, and every sickness and disease were laid on Jesus.  We are completely free.  This is the message we are to proclaim to the world.  Mark 16:15, 17-18 says, “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.  And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.”  When any believer lays hands on the sick, the sick shall recover.   The signs are evidence that the gospel of Jesus Christ is true.

Contrary to most Christian teachings, the enemy is not a serious hindrance.  Jesus has taken all of the authority of the enemy away and has given believers the authority to use Jesus’ name.  John 14:12-14 says, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.  And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.  If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.”  The word “ask” in this scripture does not mean to ask God a question or ask if it is God’s will to heal a person.  The word “ask” in this scripture means to require or demand.  When Lazarus was raised from the dead, Jesus gave a command saying, “Lazarus, come forth.” Death itself had to bow at the command of Jesus.    Every disciple ministered healing in the same way.  They did not “ask” God to heal the person.  They commanded the person to be healed in Jesus’ name.

Every believer can minister healing in the same way.  We simply need to start using the authority that Jesus has given the church.  We can command every spirit of infirmity and every sickness and disease to leave people in Jesus’ name.  We can also command the body to be healed and for body systems to function properly in Jesus’ name.  There are many ways to release the Spirit that dwells in us.  We can minister by the laying on of hands, by our words, and even prayer cloths that we have prayed over. Healing is not about the proper technique, but knowing WHO is in you and what you have.   When you command healing in the name of Jesus, all the authority in Heaven is backing you up.  You shall lay hands on the sick and the sick shall recover.  Praise God!
