Review:  Making Faith Simple – Part 3 – Speaking Like God

Faith “in God” and faith “of God” are two different things.  Faith in God is believing that Jesus has made you righteous and now you are a joint-heir with Christ.  The faith “of God” is exercising your faith the same way God does.   God speaks, and then things appear in the physical realm.  Because of Jesus death and resurrection, we are now seated in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.  We have the amazing privilege of being seated on the throne with Christ.  He has made us Kings and Priests.  Today when a believer speaks, things happen.  This is the faith “of God.”  We believe something is real, and we speak in order to see it come to pass in the physical realm.

Romans 10:8-10 (NLT) says, “And that message is the very message about faith that we preach:  If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved.”  The word “saved” in this passage is the Greek word “soteria.”  Most people believe the word “saved” strictly means getting to heaven someday. But soteria includes much more than just getting to heaven.  It means salvation, deliverance, welfare, prosperity and safety.  In other words, when we believe that Jesus has made us whole, prospered us, protected us and delivered us, we simply need to speak and our “salvation” in every area of our lives will be manifested.  This is exercising the faith “of God.”

The original language of God is the Hebrew language.  Robert Young, in the preface of Young’s Literal Translation of the Bible, tells us that the Hebrew language does not contain future tense.  God only sees things as past or present tense.  Most believers think that if they have the right kind of faith, or if they pray and fast long enough, they will someday be successful and prosperous.  But God doesn’t see it that way.  God doesn’t say, “It might happen in the future.”  God says, “Your are prosperous.  You are healed.  You are very successful.”  You don’t have to achieve all of the blessings of God and someday enjoy them in the future.  God has said you already have them.  It is a done deal!  There is no future tense in God’s language.  When God looks at you, He sees you in Christ.  He sees you as an heir of salvation.

Scripture makes it clear that we are heirs, and that every promise has become “yes” and “amen” in Christ.  So how do we enjoy these amazing privileges?  It is very simple.  We simply believe in our heart that Jesus has qualified us for every blessing, and we speak with our mouth.  Salvation in every area of our lives is not hard and far away.  It is very near to us.  It is in our heart and in our mouth.  We simply need to believe that Jesus has done all of the hard work, and we now only need to speak with our mouth.  Jesus has brought us to His level on the throne.  When we speak, things happen.  Mark 11:23-24 tells us that we will have whatever we say.  What an amazing privilege we have as sons and daughters of our Heavenly Father.  So start speaking like God speaks.  Start speaking that you are the righteousness of Christ.  Start speaking that you are very rich and prosperous.  Start speaking that you are healed and divinely protected.  When you do this, you are simply speaking what God has already said about you.  When you exercise the faith “of God,” every area of your life will be made whole.   Praise God!
