Review:  Meditate for Success, Prosperity and Health

Every time the Bible talks about “meditate” – success, prosperity, profit and health are attached.  Meditate is from the Hebrew word “hagah” (Strong’s 1897).  It means to murmur or utter under your breath.  Worrying is negative meditation.  When you worry, you rehearse negative situations over and over again in your mind.  Meditating correctly means taking the Word of God and uttering it under your breath.  You look at the scripture from every angle.  Instead of worry, you rehearse all the promises of God over and over in your mind.  You can do this all throughout the day.

Jesus tells us the Word of God is like a seed.  When you meditate on the Word, it is planted in your heart.  The Word of God has the power to produce a harvest on its own.  It will produce the desired result in your life.  Mark 4:26-28 tells us we do need to understand how the seed works.  We just need to plant it.  You may not see your harvest right away, but you can be sure it will produce a harvest and “yield crops by itself.”

Joshua 1:8 and Psalm 1 both tell us to meditate on the Law of the Lord.  If you do, it will produce prosperity, good success, and health. You will be like a tree planted next to rivers of water.  Your leaf will not wither and whatever you do shall prosper.  In Luke 24:44 Jesus explains to the disciples that the Law, Psalms and prophets were written about Him.  So under the New Covenant, when we meditate on Jesus and His promises, it will produce a harvest in our lives.   If you need provision, meditate on scriptures like Philippians 4:19,  “God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”  You will see that the scripture has enough power in it to produce supply and provision in your life.   If you desire success and breakthrough in your career or business, mediate on scriptures like Psalm 1:3, “Whatever I does shall prosper.”

God designed us to focus on Jesus and what He accomplished for us on the cross.  You can’t read scripture all day, but you can take a couple scriptures and mediate on them throughout the day.  Every time you meditate on the Word of God, success, prosperity and profit will be the result.

Prayer:  10 Minutes:

If there is any situation in your life that needs prayer, ask the Holy Spirit to pray through you for that situation.  The Holy Spirit makes intercession for us according to the will of God.  It is the perfect prayer and is always answered!
