Review: Receiving Restoration in Every Area of Your Life
Hebrews 10 explains the Law was a shadow of good things to come. By studying the Old Testament, we can see the types and shadows of what Jesus has done for us. When the Ten Commandments were given, God immediately set up an altar and sacrificial system so that man could be forgiven of sins and continue to be blessed. The five offerings in Leviticus are all pictures of what Jesus is for us today. When The Law was broken, people could bring their offerings to the priest so that their sins were covered and God could continue to bless them. God is just, so sins have to be judged. On the other hand, God is love, so He set up a system so that we would never be judged. All of the judgment could be placed on an innocent lamb. Believers need to understand that judgment for every sin has already been placed on Christ Jesus. We can be blessed every second of every day because we have been given the righteousness of Christ Jesus as a gift.
In the Old Testament, if anyone was injured because of sin, the injured party had to be completely restored and then given one-fifth more because of the injury. Leviticus 6:5 explains this as the trespass offering. Remember, these offerings were all a picture of what Jesus has done for us. Have you ever been injured and cheated by someone else? We don’t need to keep a record of wrong or hold grudges. We can simply go to our Father and receive complete restoration in the very area we have been wronged. Not only that, God will add one-fifth more to that area of our lives because Jesus was our trespass offering. We actually become gainers every time we have been wronged when we ask the Father to restore those areas of our lives.
Now, here is something more amazing about Jesus as our trespass offering. Have you ever done something in your life that you wish you could take back? Have you missed the mark and hurt others and yourself because of a mistake? We don’t need to carry the guilt and shame of our mistakes. We can place our mistakes, guilt and shame on Christ Jesus. He is our innocent lamb. We can then go to our Father and receive 120% restoration in the very area of our mistake. Can you see how amazing the trespass offering is? God prospers and restores our mistakes!
So if someone has injured you, or if you have made mistakes and caused injury to yourself and others, stop carrying around guilt and shame. We can rejoice in the fact that every area of our lives will be restored to 120%. Have you been robbed of joy, dignity, finances or relationships? Because Jesus was our trespass offering, we can ask the Father to restore those areas to 120%. Jesus was our perfect trespass offering. He is faithful! Our Father desires for us to enjoy restoration in every area of our lives. Praise God!

If there is any situation in your life that needs prayer, ask the Holy Spirit to pray through you for that situation. The Holy Spirit makes intercession for us according to the will of God. It is the perfect prayer and is always answered!
