Review:  Thank God the Blessing Does Not Depend on Us

Everything changed on the cross.  All of our sin was transferred to Jesus on the cross.  Not only that, we received His righteousness and all of the blessings and favor He deserved.  Our blessings in life are equivalent to the quality of our Lamb.  Thank God that the true Lamb of God, Jesus, was sacrificed on the cross for us.

Revelation 5:12 says, “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain
To receive power and riches and wisdom,
And strength and honor and glory and blessing!”  Notice it says worthy is the Lamb.  It does not say, “Worthy is the lamb plus your obedience.”  Scripture makes it very clear that we receive all of the blessings because of our faith in Jesus and not in our “works” or our obedience.     Romans 4:6-8 says, “Just as David also describes the blessedness of the man to whom God imputes righteousness apart from works:“Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven, And whose sins are covered; Blessed is the man to whom the Lord shall not impute sin.”  God no longer keeps any record of your sin and you are blessed apart from your works.  You are forever blessed because of Jesus, period!

When we try to please God by our effort that is called “works” or “flesh.”  You need to know you are righteous.  You need to know you are already blessed.  If you are trying to be righteous and trying to be blessed, Galatians 5:4 says you have become “estranged from Christ and have fallen from your high position of grace.”

Walking in the Spirit is knowing you are forever righteous and forever blessed because of Jesus, not your self effort or obedience.   When you know that your blessing is because of Jesus, the world will start to take notice of your life.  You will truly be an Ambassador of Christ.    How will they know?  Galatians 5:22 says, “The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.”  They will know you because of your fruit.  You are forever blessed.  Begin to enjoy the life that Jesus purchased for you on the cross.

Prayer 1:  10 Minutes:

If there is any situation in your life that needs prayer, ask the Holy Spirit to pray through you for that situation.  The Holy Spirit makes intercession for us according to the will of God.  It is the perfect prayer and is always answered!
