Review:  The Doorway To God and His Grace

Hebrews 8:8 tells us to labor to enter into God’s rest.  When you are saved you get to enjoy the work of another man, Jesus.  We get to enjoy His favor, blessings, divine health, wisdom, life, etc.  In the New Covenant, we are supposed to maintain an attitude of praise and thanksgiving because we have been saved and perfected by Jesus.  Over and over in scripture we are told to rejoice, praise and give thanks to God.

Ephesians 5:18-19 says, “And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord.”  When we sing and pray in the spirit, we are constantly being filled to capacity with the Holy Spirit.

One of the Hebrew words for praise is yahdah (Strong’s 3034).  It literally means to give thanks or to thrust out your hand.  It is formed from the three Hebrew letters yod, dalet and hey.  Each Hebrew letter also has a picture associated with it.  The pictures for yod, dalet and hey are a hand, a doorway and God’s grace.  So praise literally means the thrust out hand of Jesus is the doorway to God’s grace.  As we praise the wonderful works of Jesus, we are constantly accessing God’s grace.

As we sing and praise in our understanding and in the spirit, we access God and His Grace.  We are constantly being filled to capacity with the Holy Spirit as we maintain and attitude of praise and thanksgiving.  No situation is hopeless when we have Jesus.  Isaiah 60:11 tells us that the wealth of the Gentiles and their kings will be brought to us as we praise Him.  We are not called to live common lives.  We have the favor and blessings of Jesus.    Every time we praise and give thanks, we open the door to God and His grace.  If you need a miracle, take your eyes off the problem and praise and give thanks for Jesus’ thrush out hands on the cross.  Rest in His love for you.  You will see that God’s goodness and favor will turn every situation around for you.  Rejoice in the Lord always, and then do it again.  It will keep your gates open continually to God and His grace.

Prayer:  10 Minutes:

If there is any situation in your life that needs prayer, ask the Holy Spirit to pray through you for that situation.  The Holy Spirit makes intercession for us according to the will of God.  It is the perfect prayer and is always answered!
