Review:  The True Gospel is the Good News of Jesus Christ, Dec 12, 2012

In Romans 1 Paul explains the true Gospel is the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  Romans 1:16 says, “I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth.”  The word for salvation here is the Greek word “soteria”.  It means much more than just getting to heaven.  It means your rescue, deliverance, health, salvation, prosperity and safety.  Everything that Jesus purchased on the cross for you is contained in “soteria.”  It is yours the minute you accept Christ. Under the law, you had to obey to get blessed.  Under grace you are blessed when you accept Christ.  It is not dependant on your personal holiness and efforts to achieve.   You truly receive “the abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness to reign on earth.”

Many people have been taught that it is irresponsible to rest in God.  They always think they must do something to achieve prosperity, health, deliverance, etc.  They are still trying to achieve something God has given them.  The more the Gospel of Christ is preached, the more the healings, prosperity and deliverance occur supernaturally and effortlessly.  When people hear the good news that God keeps no record of wrong, they come out from condemnation.  They are perfect in God’s eyes.  It is “the power” of God unto salvation.

Many people are praying, fasting and reading the Word to build enough faith in order to see miracles and overcome the enemy.  The Holy Spirit moves when the Gospel of Christ is preached.  In Galatians 3:5 Paul says “He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit and worketh miracles among you, doeth he by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?”  Paul is saying that the Holy Spirit works miracles among you when you hear the gospel of Christ.  It is not because of your praying and fasting.  The Holy Spirit works miracles when Jesus is preached.  It is by hearing the gospel of Christ!  Let’s look what happened when Peter was preaching to Cornelius in Acts 10.  The Holy Spirit did not fall when Peter told them “God anointed Jesus of Nazareth and with the Holy Ghost and fire” (Acts 10:38).  The Holy Ghost fell after Peter preached the gospel of Christ.  Acts 10:43-44 says, “To Him give all the prophets witness, that through His name whosoever believeth in Him shall receive the remission of sins.  While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.”

Praise God!  When the gospel of Christ is preached, the power of God unto salvation is released.  You have been made whole.  You have divine protection.  You already have your healing.  You are very prosperous.  You are debt free.  You have restoration.  You are above only!  You are the righteousness of Christ!  Jesus performed a perfect work on the cross!  Rest in His finished work and begin experiencing the supernatural transformation in every area of your lives, in Jesus’ mighty name!

Prayer 1:  3 Minutes:

We are going to thank God that the Gospel of Christ brings us salvation.  We are going to thank God that we have divine health, divine protection, the favor of God, divine prosperity and every blessing that pertains to life and godliness.

Prayer 2:  3 Minutes:

We will be praying for a harvest of souls this week.  Ask the Lord of the Harvest to whistle to all his sheep in every city and fellowship around the country.  Ask the Holy Spirit to drive them into church and into every fellowship with His irresistible wind.  We will also be praying for the Holy Spirit to convict them of their sins, so they will be saved, and Christ will be formed and complete in all of the people present.

Prayer 3:  3 minutes

We are going to thank God for the grace to preach the gospel of Christ in every service and fellowship.  As the gospel of Christ is preached, the Holy Spirit will work miracles among us.   We are going to thank God for the supernatural favor in every area of our lives as Christ is glorified.
