Review:  It Is Always God’s Will to Heal

John G. Lake, who had one of the greatest healing ministries in the world, states, “The only hindrance to healing is that you believe there are hindrances to healing.”  In Exodus 15:26, God introduced Himself as Jehovah Rapha, which means “the Lord who heals.”  God never changes.  He is not the Lord who heals some, and not others.  He always heals!

Jesus was your substitute sacrifice for sins as well as sickness and disease.  Psalm 103:2 says, “Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:  Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases.”  You are a free man!  The enemy cannot legally lay on you any sickness or disease because every sickness and disease was already laid on Jesus.  1 Peter 2:24 explains that we were healed when Jesus was whipped on the whipping post.   Everyone that came to Jesus was healed.  He did not exclude one person that came to Him.

There are many incorrect teachings that have kept people from enjoying the divine health and healing that Jesus purchased for us on the cross.     The gospel of Jesus Christ makes it clear that it is always God’s will to heal.  Not only that, He has given every believer the same ability to minister healing.    Mark 16:15, 17-18 says, “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.  And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.”  When any believer lays hands on the sick, the sick shall recover.  The only requirement is that you believe in Jesus.  The signs are evidence that the gospel of Jesus Christ is true.

Right now, when you lay hands on the sick, the sick shall recover.  Contrary to most Christian teachings, the enemy is not a serious hindrance.  Jesus has taken all of the authority of the enemy away and has given believers the authority to use Jesus’ name.  John 14:12-14 says, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.  And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.  If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.”  The word “ask” in this scripture means to require or demand.  When you require or demand a sick person to “be healed” in the name of Jesus, Jesus will do it.  These signs are evidence that the gospel of Jesus Christ is real.

In summary, it is always God’s will to heal.  Every sickness and disease has already been paid for and laid on the body of Jesus Christ.  Believers have Jehovah Rapha, the Lord who heals, living in them.  When we find sickness and disease in the world, we have the authority to minister healing to that person.  It doesn’t take a special anointing or levels of faith to minister healing.  The only requirement is that you believe in Jesus.   “These signs shall follow them that believe… they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.”  Praise God!
