Review: Why More People Aren’t Enjoying the Blessings of Deuteronomy 28 – Part 2
Abraham was not blessed because he was perfect. He and Sarah lied about their relationships twice. Yet God continued to bless them and protect them. Galatians 3:6-9 tells us that Abraham believed the same gospel you and I believed. Because Abraham believed he was right with God by faith, God blessed him. In the same way, you and I are blessed when we believe we are right with God by faith. All of the blessings are yours the minute you believe in Jesus. You didn’t earn the blessings, so the blessings do not go away when you sin or miss the mark. The good news of Jesus Christ is that you are irreversibly blessed.
More Christians aren’t enjoying the blessings of God because they have been taught that the blessings aren’t freely given. They have been taught that sin, un-forgiveness, generational curses, etc., etc., cause the anointing and blessings of God to dry up. When people have this kind of thinking, they come back under the law. When you come back under the law, Galatians 3:10 tells that we come back under the curse of the law. The only way you can be cursed in the New Covenant is believe that the blessings of God need to be earned.
There is not a price to pay for the anointing, favor and blessing of God. Matthew 10:8 and Romans 8:32 tell us that every blessing is FREELY given. The way to enjoy every blessing of God is by knowing that we received Jesus life at the cross. 2 Peter 1:2 says, “Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord.” Grace and peace are multiplied when we believe right, not perform and obey right. We have been redeemed, delivered, anointed, blessed and favored because of Jesus. We don’t need to add anything to the cross. The more we are dead to the law, and simply believe the true gospel of Jesus Christ, the blessings of God will flow freely and explode in our lives.

If there is any situation in your life that needs prayer, ask the Holy Spirit to pray through you for that situation. The Holy Spirit makes intercession for us according to the will of God. It is the perfect prayer and is always answered!
