There is a lot of confusion concerning what faith is, and how faith works. Hebrews 11:1 tells us, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Faith is not an action; it is a noun or “substance”. Faith is the opposite of the Law. The Law was a set of rules to follow. Faith is the reality that Jesus has already accomplished everything, even if you can’t see it in the physical.
The Law worked by man trying to follow a set of rules. Faith works by believing that Jesus has already accomplished everything for us, and speaking it with our mouth. There is no future tense according to God. 2 Corinthians 1:20 assures us that all of the promises of God are already “yes” and “amen” in Christ. There is nothing we can “do” to make those promises more real. Christ has already made them yes and amen. Faith works by meditating on the promises of God, and speaking them with our mouth. God wants us to know that we already have the blessing of Abraham. We can’t add to what Jesus did. We simply need to see ourselves as God sees us and speak it with our mouth. We are already prosperous, healthy, loved and protected. We simply need to plant these promises in our heart, and speak them with our mouth.
Lastly, God has given us the ability to create with our dreams, visions and speech. Hebrews 11:3 tells us that everything physical was created by things we can’t see. God created by seeing things in the spirit, and speaking. We are created in God’s image. If we want to give order to our physical world, we do it by using spiritual things (our dreams, visions and speech.) God wants us to be able to see our dreams and visions in our mind’s eye. If we continue to see those dreams and visions, and speak as if they are already accomplished, the dreams and visions will come to pass.
Prayer: 10 Minutes:
If there is any situation in your life that needs prayer, ask the Holy Spirit to pray through you for that situation. The Holy Spirit makes intercession for us according to the will of God. It is the perfect prayer and is always answered!
